每年5月第二個星期日是佛誕節、母親節、慈濟日
佛誕節顧名思義，是慶祝佛教創始人喬達摩．悉達多太子的誕辰。我們尊稱悉達多太子為佛陀，並在佛陀誕辰這一天，藉由浴佛的儀式，感念佛陀出世於人間，引導我們邁向光明大道。
同一天也是母親節和慈濟日，提醒我們，除了感念佛恩——佛陀教誨之恩，也要感念親恩——父母教養之恩，以及眾生恩——眾生利益人間之恩
佛陀悟道 教菩薩法引導眾生離苦得樂
2500多年前，佛陀出皇宮看見人間苦相，啟發他思考人生的真理到底是什麼？他拋開了王室生活，追尋人間苦難的根源，最後在菩提樹下靜坐禪定，一日夜睹明星，豁然開朗，悟得真理。
佛陀悟道後不斷對眾生說法，宣揚利他精神，為人們指引明路，引導眾生明白道理，去除無明離苦得樂。
浴佛的意義——反觀自心淨除無明
在佛誕節，我們透過浴佛儀式，禮佛足——用最謙卑的心，虔誠恭敬禮諸佛，降伏自己的傲慢與煩惱；接花香——自心虔誠薰法香，領受佛陀教誨滌淨無明煩惱；祝福吉祥——發願慈悲喜捨，造福人間報佛恩。
浴佛，旨在洗淨心中的無明煩惱塵埃，淨化心地，猶如擦亮心中大圓鏡智，讓人心如佛心；為自己也為天下眾生發一個好願，願眾生離苦得樂，人人共沐佛恩，家家平安吉祥。

Celebrating the Buddha's Birthday:
A Day of Gratitude and Enlightenment
Once a year, we commemorate the birth of Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism, also known as the Buddha.
This special day also coincides with Mother's Day and Global Tzu Chi Day, reminding us to express our deepest appreciation – to the Buddha for his teachings, to our parents for their love, and to everyone who enriches our lives.
The Buddha's Path: From Prince to Enlightened Teacher
Over 2,500 years ago, Prince Siddhartha embarked on a profound journey of self-discovery. Leaving behind his royal life, he sought to understand the root of human suffering. Through dedication and meditation, he achieved enlightenment, awakening to the profound truths of the universe.
Driven by immense compassion, the Buddha devoted his life to sharing these truths with others. He wished to illuminate a path for humanity, guiding us to overcome suffering and achieve enlightenment ourselves.
A Day of Reflection and Renewal
On this Buddha Day, we pay homage to the Buddha's wisdom and compassion. We participate in traditional ceremonies, expressing our gratitude for the light he brought into the world.
These practices, like bathing the Buddha statue and offering flowers, symbolize the cleansing of negativity and the cultivation of virtues. By participating, we invite the Buddha's teachings into our hearts, fostering peace and kindness within ourselves and the world.
